I love the rustic charm of this reclaimed wood design.

This is my favorite piece of art. I visit it often at the Cape Cod Museum of Art. I want one of my own. I can picture it as my writing space. It's got that rustic charm and beauty of the wood. ❤️

Happy to get such feedback, Kate. I think everyone wants and benefits from having a personal space. I made another "house" for a writer who put it out in the woods (I put screens on the windows) - he and his family lived in a six thousand square foot house, but he felt he couldn't get the privacy and peace & quiet that a relatively small structure afforded. When I exhibited In-House at Gallery Naga in Boston, they reported that kids made a bee-line for it and wanted to play in it.

Hi Steve your In-House originally owned by my mom Natalie in Milton, MA, then to us in Shelburne VT for almost 20 years, is now in New Canaan, CT, for the 4th generation of our family to entertain ourselves. Sent me an email and I'll forward some snapshots! What an enduring piece!

Happy to hear In-House lives on and has an appreciative audience of both kids and adults, some of whom have an endless supply of outhouse stories. I recently was given the bench top of a “three holer” which I restored and made into a mirror.
